REEL PEOPLE
ASSOCIATION
OF ANGLERS WITH DISABILITIES
Reel People - Anglers with Disabilities
Reel People was formed in 1999 to facilitate the enjoyment of angling by disabled people within
the eastern region. A highly competitive match calendar, come and try taster sessions and access advice are just some of the
things that reel people does. In June 2005 Reel People received an Award for Services to Disability from Kings Lynn Borough
Council.
At the start of 2006 we now have 51 members, all of whom have some form of disability. Our funds are derived from
members annual subscription and entry fees, raffles at matches and some run by our members at other events. This revenue is
used to pay the venue fees and for the trophies and prizes at matches.
Reel People has strong links with The Environment
Agency and will once again be teeming up with them, for the third year running at Tacklefest in Peterborough during the summer.
We will be located on their stand, were we will be promoting our activities and assisting with questions on disability issues.
We would be delighted to see you and answer any questions you may have about Reel People.
